Currently serving as Speaker of the Management Board for Luxgateway SA in Luxembourg, Antoine Santoni is a leading expert in the European mobile technology industry. Antoine Santoni’s extensive experience and dynamic leadership have positioned the company for success in the mobile marketplace. In addition to implementing mobile marketing applications and strategies and designing and implementing an independent European content platform, Antoine Santoni submitted a patent for automatic recognition and encoding of videos on all mobile devices, which was approved in 2008. Through these efforts, among many others, Antoine Santoni has effectively placed Luxgateway SA at the forefront of mobile video technology. Much of Antoine Santoni’s experience in mobile video comes from his three years of service as CEO of Tele2 (INVIK Group) in Luxembourg. As CEO of Tele2, one of Europe’s largest and most prominent telecommunications firms, Antoine Santoni implemented a number of important initiatives to help the company invest in new technologies and better prepare for changes in the mobile telephone market. In his work, Antoine Santoni focused primarily on the convergence of television and telephone technologies. As such, Antoine Santoni led the launch of Mobile TV and DVB-H tests with TdF, as well as the EU Enthron II project. Antoine Santoni helped make Tele2 the first company in Europe to launch streaming mobile TV accessible anywhere in the world via a mobile phone. Outside of his work with Luxgateway, Antoine Santoni serves as an official Economic Adviser to the French Government. Antoine Santoni was appointed to this position in 2006 for three years and earned recommendation for an additional three years in 2009. Antoine Santoni possesses an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Augsburg in Germany and a Ph.D. from the University of Darmstadt.
